What a wonderful start to the summer. Pride was awesome as usual.
The Center said that there were more than 370,000 guests at Civic Center Park. This tops last year’s numbers and shows that we, as a community, are growing stronger each year.
I would like to extend a personal thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers – from the ambassadors to board members who helped make this event one of the best. They offered their time to be in our booth at the event and talk to any and all about the value of joining our organization.
When I see so many from the LGBT community come together like this,
it reinforces the thought that together we are better and stronger.
This is so true of membership in the DGLCC. We offer so many events and opportunities to
come together and, of course, do business.
Mark your calendars for upcoming events you surely don’t want to miss.
First off, we are again this year sponsoring Equality
Night with the Denver Rapids. This event will take place Aug. 1 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
Anyone who went last year can tell you it is a great event and lots of fun. We will update you with details in the coming weeks.
Our July Business After Hours will be at Two Fisted Mario’s Pizza & The Double Daughters Cocktail Lounge, downtown.
Our August breakfast will feature well-known artist and author Ken Elliot, who will be discussing his book Manifesting 123, on Aug. 6.
This book details his experiences and explains how your thoughts
create reality. This is the breakthrough book that explains the creation of everything around you. Be sure to sign up for these events on our website.
